Paloma Lake can be enjoyed lounging on the deck of your cabin or engaging in a wide array of activities available on our property. Our adventures can be add-on activities to your overnight stay, private sessions booked in advance, or planned in collaboration with your group for an experience you won’t soon forget.
We know that varied groups have varied interests therefore we offer customizable packages to suit individual interests. Send part of your group on a landscape tour while another party plays lawn games or practices yoga under the oak trees. The Paloma Lake experience is unique to your adventure. Get creative!

Skeet Shooting | Skeet shooting is a recreational and competitive activity where participants, using shotguns, attempt to break clay targets mechanically flung into the air from fixed stations at high speed from a variety of angles. At Paloma Lake, 5 stand shooters take turns at each of the 5 stands, then rotating to the next stand. Trained staff members are present for assistance, score keeping, lessons, and safety. *Must be pre-booked before arrival
Target Shooting | Target shooting is a recreational and competitive activity where participants, using shotguns, attempt to hit designated bullseye targets from various distances and angles. Trained staff members are present for assistance, score keeping, and safety. *Must be pre-booked before arrival
Archery | Archery is a recreational and competitive activity where participants, using a standard bow and arrow, attempt to hit designated bullseye targets from various distances and angles. Trained staff members are present for assistance, score keeping, lessons, and safety. *Must be pre-booked before arrival
Catch & Boil Crawfish (seasonal) | Get hands-on experience catching and learning all about Louisiana’s favorite freshwater crustaceans. You and your group will take a rustic wagon ride through beautiful 1,500 acres to our crawfish ponds. Here, guests will have the opportunity to lift the traps from the water, collect the crawfish, bait and replace the traps to the pond, or watch as the fishermen demonstrate. Afterwards, return to the main property for a delicious boil! A Paloma Lake Boil includes crawfish, corn, potatoes, mushrooms, garlic, sausage, and onions as well as a full bar. *Must be pre-booked before arrival
Bird Watching | The 1,500 acre property is host to a vast variety of both migrating and native birds. Bring your binoculars and feast your eyes on populations of wintering waterfowl, neotropical beauties like warblers and orioles and native species like blue herons, great egrets, red-tailed hawks, bald eagles, snipe and cormorants.
Landscapes UTV Tour | This guided tour will take you deep into the heart of the property. On your ride you will head into the diverse habitat that is home to much of Louisiana’s most recognized wildlife. For the avid photographer, have our tour guides take you to the most picturesque areas of the property. *Must be pre-booked before arrival
Private Hiking & Biking Tours | Wander through the vast grounds and trails and soak in the tranquility and beauty of the property. The diverse terrain may allow for a glimpse at Louisiana’s well-known wildlife depending on your chosen speed. The staff at Paloma Lake can prepare you for the day with mountain bike rentals or bring your own. Bike trail map coming soon!
Lawn Games | Paloma Lake’s beautiful lawns are perfect for a friendly game of horseshoes, Ladder Golf, Corn Hole, Lawn Jenga and Connect 4. Perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather and a relaxing afternoon under the 250-year-old oaks.
Bass & Bream Fishing | Fish directly off of the bank of the lake or in one of our kayaks to find the best bites within this 53-acre sportsman paradise. We allow our guests to bring their own small electric motor boats upon approval prior to their stay. Fishing poles, tackle, and small electric boats are available for a fee.
